Elementary students will be participating in a Halloween costume parade on October 31st at 1:30 p.m. in the Bus Loop. If it is raining, the parade will be moved inside the Cafetorium. Students should not wear masks, or bring face paint and colored hair spray to school. Also, costumes must not include weapons of any kind and must be school-appropriate.

Capac Community Schools is hosting a Veteran's Day Continental Breakfast, on Friday, November 10th at 8:30 a.m. in the Cafetorium.
Don't forget there is a half-day tomorrow (10-11) with dismissal at 11:15 a.m. Teachers will meet for PD in the afternoon.
This year's Elementary School Book Fair will be from October 23rd through the 27th. We will also be open during the Trunk or Treat in the Cafetorium.

Wednesday, October 4th is School Count Day. This is a very important day for schools across the state and for Capac Community Schools. Ninety percent (90%) of our school's funding is established on the Fall Count Day. Therefore, it is very important that all students be in attendance today for the entire day.

Parent Teacher Conferences will be on the 27th (afternoon conferences) and 28th (afternoon and evening conferences) of this month. Please note that September 27th, 28th, and 29th are all half-days at Capac Community Schools with dismissal at 11:15 a.m.

Please make sure your contact information is updated with your school, including your address, phone number, and email address. Messages go out to parents via our messaging system using all these fields and if your info. is outdated you won't receive information from your student's school as you should. Check-in with your student's office if you have questions or need to update your information.

ATTENTION! The Lady Chiefs High School Basketball program is holding open gyms on Sundays! Please see the flyer below for specific times and dates.
Rite Aid will be here on September 14th in the HS Cafeteria from 8-10:30, on photo day, to conduct a Flu Shot clinic for staff, students, or parents who would like one. Rite Aid's screening questionnaire and consent forms are located in building offices if you are interested. Anyone under 18 must have a parent complete their consent form and bring it with them to the clinic. We do not require nor endorse getting flu vaccinations, it is just a community offering from Rite Aid.

In September we will begin our Who's Your Chief recognition program for the 2023-2024 school year. Here is how it works:
You can recognize an employee of Capac Community Schools (CCS) who has gone above and beyond and nominate him or her for a "Who's Your Chief?" award!
• Any CCS staff member can be nominated.
• Any CCS student, staff, parent, alumni, or community member can make a nomination.
• Nominations must be made by the twentieth of the month for that month's consideration.
The winner for each month will receive $25.00 in Capac Cash that can be spent at local businesses (Thank you to the Board of Education for their generosity) as well as a T-shirt and gift card from the Capac Athletic Boosters. Nominate your favorite Chief at www.capacschools.us under the district tab.
If you are the owner of a local business who would like to accept Capac Cash just give the central office a call ( 810-395-3710) to get on our list of businesses.
A reminder that there is no school this Friday, September 1st, and Monday, September 4th in observance of Labor Day. All school and district offices are also closed during this time.
