Capac High School Volleyball Tryouts are August 13th and 14th from 3-6:00 pm in the Harry C. Moore gymnasium. You must have a physical with you or turn it in to the HS office before tryouts.
**Junior High tryouts will take place the first week of school; keep an eye out for details.

Varsity/JV Football will begin practice on Monday, August 11th, 3-5:30 pm. Players must have a physical on file to participate.

Our school building offices will reopen next week on Monday, August 4th, but with minimal staffing and continued activity throughout the campus to prepare for the upcoming school year. We appreciate your understanding.

Unfortunately, Capac Community Schools will not be participating in the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) this summer as we are not eligible this year through the Michigan Department of Education (MDE). We are now accepting applications from individuals interested in filling the open board position on the Capac Board of Education as we are required to fill the vacancy within 30 days according to board policy. Individuals should submit their resumes to the Board President, Tim Lewis (tlewis@capacschools.us), and Interim Superintendent, Amy Nelson (anelson@capacschools.us) by 9 am, Wednesday, May 15, 2024. All candidate interviews will be open to the public following the requirements of the Open Meetings Act and will be held at the May 21st regular board meeting. An individual will be appointed to serve until the next regular election has been held, and certified and a newly elected individual has been sworn in.

Don't forget, there is a half-day today with dismissal at 11:15 am. Teacher PD in the afternoon.

Do you have a child who will be 5 on or before September 1, 2024? If your answer to that is "yes", have you registered for kindergarten with Capac Community Schools yet? Kindergarten Round-up is coming up on Friday, April 12th! All incoming Capac kindergarteners will receive a kindergarten readiness kit like the one shown below when they sign up and attend Round-up. Have you heard about our AgriScience Program here at Capac Community Schools? Here's an opportunity to learn all about it, including our FFA (Future Farmers of America) programming! Come to our Open House on April 9th, from 5:00-7:30 pm, and hear how you can be part of this growing program.

Capac Schools: Due to the expected snowy and icy conditions tomorrow morning, Capac Community Schools will be closed on Friday, 3/22. Daycare and all activities will also be closed. Enjoy your spring break... See you Tuesday, 4/2.

Don't forget that Spring Break begins next Monday, March 25th, and runs through April 1st. Classes resume April 2nd at 8:00 am.

Just a reminder that Thursday, February 29th and Friday, March 1st are half-days with dismissal at 11:15 am. Parent/Teacher Conferences will take place on Feb. 29th in the afternoon and evening.

There was an error on the elementary lunch menu for March 1st, which is a half-day. The menu for the half day will be as follows: Pizza Lunchables, fresh fruit and vegetables along with a choice of milk. We apologize for any confusion.
