Sixth grade social studies concentrates on the foundations of Word Geography and Global Issues. The Oakland Schools Framework is the curriculum that is provided for our learning.
Through out the course, students will use different spatial scales (local, regional, interregional, and global) to study human patterns and global issues.
Areas of Study: Students will be deepening their understanding of the disciplines of history, geography, economics, and political science, as well as broadening their understanding to other fields within the social studies such as anthropology and sociology.
